Star of David and Seal of Solomon

By tradition, the Star of David has only 2-Dimensional OVERLAPPING (or intersecting) triangles, while the Seal of Solomon always has 3-Dimensional INTERWOVEN (or interlaced) triangles. Because of this, the Seal of Solomon may also sometimes be called the Star of David, although this remains technically incorrect. By Judas Maccabaeus.

Notice that both the Star of David and the Seal of Solomon are made up of two equilateral triangles that I numbered 1-33 on each triangle.  The red (fire) triangle represents ascension to God while the blue (water) triangle represents descension of man.  Be careful when researching these two symbols on the Internet.  Very often, the descriptions or definitions may be incorrect.

Both symbols can be used to depict the Bible.  Combining the numbers on the two triangles add to 66 being the same number of books in the Bible.

The number 33 at the top of the red triangle represents the life of Jesus, but is also used as a top degree of the Masons, some Freemasons (Scottish Rite), and other such organizations.

The 33rd degree is a supreme honour bestowed only on those who have demonstrated outstanding service to the Brotherhood, as well as professional and personal accomplishments.  By George H. Lilley in reference to Masons.
